Taitung faces high waste disposal costs and depends on western cities for processing. After every event, tons of exhibition materials are discarded. TRASH+ LAB collects and restores these items, creates 3D models, and uploads them online for organizers and designers to preview and rent. The warehouse also serves as shared storage for local companies, with a profit-sharing system when items are rented—creating a circular network for reusable materials in Taitung.
In our pilot phase, we reduced post-event waste from two 3.5-ton truckloads to one 10-liter bin and a small acrylic box, cutting design costs by 80%.
